Stainless Band Features in Stainless Steel Focus!
Stainless Band is proud to feature and support the latest issue of Stainless Steel Focus.
"Stainless Band is a leader in processing stainless coil products in various forms, finishes, grades and dressings. With a turnover nearing £10m and over 35 employees, it is robust in a competitive sector. It has a global customer base that provides recognition and acceptance worldwide. Managing director Jonathan Hanson and his team certainly have something to smile about.
The volatility in stainless steel prices throughout 2023, marked by consistent increases, has been a notable trend in the industry. The anticipation of this trend persisting for some time, with a steady recovery projected for 2024, suggests a continuation of price fluctuations within the stainless steel market."

Stainless Band: economic, safe, and quality assured
November 2017
When buying stainless steel strip and coil, there are many aspects that have to be taken into consideration. Quality is, of course, of paramount importance. But the product also has to be safe. And herein often lies the stumbling block. Quality and safety cost money.
Stainless grade 304: the workhorse of the stainless steel industry
October 2017
It doesn’t matter what you call it – 304, 1.4301, 18/8 or even V2A – most people in the business will know what you mean. There are two (or perhaps three) obvious reasons for this.
Stainless steel – a material of unparalleled versatility
September 2017
Everyone knows that stainless steel is highly corrosion resistant in a wide range of environments - as long as the correct grade is selected. Similarly, it offers a wide range of mechanical and physical properties. The correct grade will provide the necessary ductility, toughness, strength, hardness, etc, which is required for the particular application.
More to stainless steel than meets the eye
August 2017
If stainless steel is mentioned in the context of building and construction, invariably it is the “iconic” Chrysler Building in New York that will come up sooner or later. And perhaps with good reason. The roof panels on the building have been around since 1930; they have only been cleaned three times since then, and even today show only limited signs of corrosion.
Stainless Band: continuing to invest in the future
August 2017
Despite the economic uncertainty and uncharted waters ahead, the mood at the UK’s Stainless Band, whose production is based in Bingley near Bradford in West Yorkshire, remains extremely positive. With a very international outlook, a serious commitment to its employees, and a willingness to continue to invest in the future, the company seems to have hit upon a recipe for continued success. With a sales office based in Rugeley in the West Midlands headed up by Roy Mason who has 30 years of experience in the industry, the company is ideally located for the main markets in the UK for stainless steel manufacturing.
Using stainless steel in the chemical and petrochemical industries
July 2017
It’s no surprise that stainless steel has been welcomed across the chemical and petrochemical industries. Its ability to withstand attack from highly corrosive substances, as well as its impressive mechanical characteristics, are key factors that continue to result in high levels of demand. As industrial processes evolve and change and new challenges present themselves, exciting new applications for stainless steel are being explored in order to make the most of the key benefits offered by this material.
Proud to be a British exporting success story
July 2017
Since the UK voted to leave the EU, the doom- and gloom-mongers have been in their element. Exports will collapse, the manufacturing sector will go into decline, jobs will be lost… But step beyond the headlines and the rhetoric and the reality for producers up and down the UK is entirely different.
