A staggering 2.5 billion coffee cups are thrown away each year, equating to 30,000 tonnes – and that’s just in the UK! While these cups are primarily made from cardboard, the watertight polyethylene liner means that only 1 in 400 cups can be recycled, so almost all of this waste ends up in a landfill.
At Stainless Band, we love coffee, so rather than discouraging anyone from drinking his or her daily brew, we’re giving away our reusable coffee cups on our Facebook competition, so make sure you submit your entry and tell your friends!
