2019 is the 10^th anniversary of Stainless Band. Looking back over the years, Stainless Band has transformed itself from a relatively small supplier of stainless steel banding selling into the UK and Europe, to a global supplier with a wide range of sizes, grades and finishes. We asked Jonathan Hanson Stainless Band MD the secret to Stainless Bands success.

“All decisions we have made have been done in a controlled manner. Naturally we wanted growth, but quality and service has always been the most important factor. Expanding our product range to included different widths, thicknesses and sizes of bobbin, in addition to adding our own edge and profiling line meant that our customers could streamline their supply chain.

Naturally, the team at Stainless Band make all the difference. The fact we can speak with customers more often than not in their native language helps and demonstrates our commitment to the global market place.

In 2018 we extended our facilities to create two new bays - good inwards and goods outwards. This allows us to stock large amounts of raw material and stock product for customers or stock product for immediate sale.

We have during the 10 years experienced volatile stainless steel prices and world markets, but I am true believer that if you provide a genuine service with a quality product and don’t compromise on your values, you can ride out the ups and downs.

Our team truly care about the work we do showing dedication and commitment to ensure excellent quality and service is given at all times. We attend all the relevant trade exhibitions and conferences and listen to what our customers need from a supplier and adapt accordingly. Stainless Steel Banding really is our thing”

Stainless Bands capabilities include testing, machining, cutting, finishing and further testing before product is dispatched. It is then packed and shipped. Its products are developed and used in automotive, petrochemical, transportation, heating and air conditioning, IT, construction, packing and many more industries – so you never know, a Stainless Band product may be within your reach right now.

So, when asked how Stainless Band would be celebrating its 10^th birthday as a team we were told “What happens at our birthday party – stays at our birthday party” Perhaps it’s best not to know!
